This Privacy Policy describes how ASimpleLogbook ("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Data You Provide

ASimpleLogbook lets you store and manage your flight logbook data, including:

• Flight entries (aircraft, crew, duration, routes, etc.)
• SIM session records
• Licence information and expiry dates
• Previous experience totals (entered manually in Settings)

This data is stored locally on your device and, if you enable iCloud Sync, in your iCloud account. It is never transmitted to our servers.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

ASimpleLogbook does not collect or transmit any user data automatically. The app operates entirely offline except for optional iCloud Sync, which uses Apple's CloudKit infrastructure.

Note: If you have enabled crash reporting in your iOS device settings, Apple may collect crash reports automatically. This is controlled by your device settings, not by ASimpleLogbook.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you enter solely to:

• Provide the App's functionality (all processing happens locally on your device)
• Sync your data across devices (only if you enable iCloud Sync)

We do not: track your usage, collect analytics, share your logbook data with third parties, or use your data for advertising or marketing.

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

Your logbook data is stored locally on your iOS device using secure storage mechanisms provided by Apple. This data remains on your device unless you choose to enable iCloud Sync.

3.2 iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud Sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service. This data is:

• Encrypted in transit and at rest
• Stored in your personal iCloud account
• Subject to Apple's iCloud Terms and Conditions
• Accessible only to devices signed in to your Apple ID

We do not have access to your iCloud data.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal logbook data with any third parties. Your data may only be accessed in the following circumstances:

• iCloud (if enabled): Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account, encrypted and accessible only to you.
• Legal Requirements: We may be required to disclose information if required by law. Since we do not have access to your data, we would have nothing to disclose.

We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or crash reporting services.

5. Your Rights and Choices

5.1 Access and Control

You have the right to:

• Access your data through the App
• Export your data in CSV or PDF format
• Delete your data by removing entries or uninstalling the App
• Disable iCloud Sync at any time in Settings

5.2 Data Deletion

You can delete your data at any time:

• Delete individual entries within the App
• Use "Erase All Data" in Settings to remove all data
• Uninstall the App (local data will be deleted)
• Remove iCloud data through your iCloud account settings

6. Children's Privacy

ASimpleLogbook does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Since the app stores all data locally on the device, there are no privacy concerns specific to children. Parents or guardians should be aware that any logbook data entered by a child remains on the device.

7. Purchase and Payment Information

ASimpleLogbook is sold as a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We receive only:

• Confirmation that your purchase is valid (to unlock the app)

We do not receive or store: your payment method, billing address, email address, or any other financial information. All transactions are governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

8. International Data Transfers

If you use iCloud Sync, your data may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence. This is governed by Apple's iCloud Terms and Conditions and applicable data protection laws.

9. GDPR Compliance

Since ASimpleLogbook does not collect, transmit, or share user data, it inherently provides strong privacy protection consistent with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your data remains on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third-party service.
